US Markets Wrap: April's CPI report won't spoil Fed's summer vacation plans, Blue Line Futures' Bill Baruch echoes the Fed Whisperer
The Nasdaq Composite closed higher, as investors fled to tech stocks after a tamer-than-expected inflation report. April consumer prices climbed 4.9% from a year ago, lower than the 5 per cent gain anticipated by economists polled by Dow Jones.
