Under a pilot project that aims to reduce ambient temperature by up to 2 deg c, a new type of heat-reflective paint will be used on some 130 Housing Board blocks in Tampines. But what are these cool coatings and how can they help with cooling temperatures of buildings? Wan Man Pun, Associate Professor, School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University joins us on The Breakfast Huddle to explain the science behind the paint.
