According to a new report commissioned by Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), most South-East Asian economies are expected to fall into recession in the first half of 2020 due to the severe impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. South-East Asia's GDP growth to remain at 4.5% in 2020
Regional growth has slowed since 2018 and remained sluggish in Q3 2019, with GDP growth across the SEA region rising only 4.5 percent year-on-year from 4.4 percent in Q2 2019.
