In a landmark joint communique at the G7 summit in Japan over the weekend - member countries made the the group’s most detailed articulation of a shared position on China to date, stressing the need to cooperate with the world’s second-largest economy, but also to counter its “malign practices” and “coercion”.
Plus, it also repeated its unswerving backing for Kyiv, on the back of an in-person appeal from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
